Padel Court Construction Kenya | 5 School Courts by Playon Padel
Playon Padel has completed the construction and installation of five panoramic padel courts across two leading international schools in Nairobi, Kenya, with three courts constructed in Karen and a further two courts in Kileleshwa.
Completed during 2026, both projects were delivered as comprehensive turnkey padel court developments, with Playon Padel’s scope extending well beyond the supply and installation of the courts.
Our works included civil works and foundations, construction of covered roof canopies, supply and installation of panoramic padel courts, electrical installations, professionalpadel court lighting, landscaping and customised finishes incorporating each school’s colours.
The projects represent an exciting development for padel in Kenya, with the sport increasingly becoming part of the sporting infrastructure of schools alongside the country’s growing network of padel clubs, hotels, residential developments and private facilities.
Padel Continues to Grow in Kenya
Padel has experienced significant growth in Kenya in recent years, particularly in Nairobi and Mombasa, with new courts opening at dedicated padel clubs, sports and recreation facilities, hotels, schools, residential developments and private residences.
The development of competitive padel has followed closely behind.
In March 2026, Nairobi hosted Kenya’s first event on the International Padel Federation’s CUPRA FIP Tour — the FIP Bronze Elite Padel Nairobi.
Kenya followed this milestone with a FIP Silver tournament in Nairobi in September 2026, further establishing the country on the international padel calendar.

At national level, the Kenya Padel Federation (KPF) has also continued to develop organised competition through sanctioned tournaments and an official national player ranking system.
As the sport grows, we at Playon Padel continue to receive increasing enquiries from clients looking to build padel courts in Kenya, ranging from schools and sports clubs to hotels, recreation facilities, property developers, luxury camps and private homeowners.
Two of our most significant projects in 2026 have been the development of new padel facilities for two international schools in Nairobi.
For client confidentiality, we are not identifying the schools by name, but both projects demonstrate the scale and range of padel court construction services in Kenya that Playon Padel can provide.
Project 1: Three Covered Panoramic Padel Courts – Karen, Nairobi
Completed: February 2026
Our first school project involved the complete development of a three-court covered padel facility in Karen, Nairobi, delivered over approximately four months.
Playon Padel managed the project from the ground up, beginning with the necessary civil and foundation works for the padel courts and surrounding areas.
A major element of the project was the fabrication and construction of a high-clearance structural roof canopy covering all three courts. The covered design allows the school to make greater use of its padel facilities throughout the year by providing protection from rain and direct sunlight while maintaining the clear playing height required for the sport.

Following completion of the civil and structural works, Playon Padel supplied and professionally installed three panoramic padel courts, together with the required electrical installations and high-quality padel court lighting.
To complete the surrounding facility, we also supplied and installed high-quality custom UV-resistant landscaping turf around the courts, creating an attractive and durable recreational environment around the playing areas.
The courts were further customised to complement the identity of the school, including net-post padding and door frames finished in the school’s colours.
The completed project provides the school with a modern three-court covered padel facility suitable for PE lessons, coaching, after-school activities, recreational play and competitive matches.

Project 2: Two Covered Panoramic Padel Courts – Kileleshwa, Nairobi
Completed: August 2026
Our second international school project involved the turnkey construction of two covered panoramic padel courts in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, completed in August 2026 following approximately three months of work.
As with the first project, Playon Padel’s involvement began with the civil and foundation work required to create the new padel facility. We then constructed the structural roof canopy, finished with an off-white PVC roofing membrane, providing a bright, covered environment for the two courts while protecting the playing area from the elements.
Playon Padel supplied and professionally installed both panoramic padel courts and completed the associated electrical installations and padel court lighting. The facility was also customised to reflect the school’s identity, with the court door frames finished in the school’s colours together with matching customised net-post padding.
The result is a modern, purpose-built two-court padel facility designed for regular school use and delivered under one coordinated scope by Playon Padel.

Customised Padel Courts for Schools
One of the advantages of developing a new padel facility is the ability to customise elements of the courts to complement the identity of the school or organisation.
Across both international school projects, Playon Padel incorporated the respective school colours into the court design, particularly on the door frames and net-post padding.
These finishing details give each facility its own identity while maintaining the professional appearance and playing characteristics of a high-quality panoramic padel court.
The same approach can be applied to commercial padel clubs, hotels and resorts, residential developments, corporate facilities and private courts, with court colours and finishes selected to complement the client’s brand and overall facility design.
Why Padel Is a Great Fit for Schools
The growth of padel within schools is particularly exciting for the long-term development of the
sport in Kenya. Padel is relatively accessible to new players, highly social and predominantly played as
doubles. These characteristics make it particularly suitable for school sports programmes, where the courts can accommodate different ages and levels of playing ability.
A school padel facility can be used for physical education, after-school clubs, coaching programmes, recreational play and inter-school competition. Covered courts provide additional flexibility by reducing disruption from rain and allowing school sporting programmes to operate more consistently throughout the year.
The emergence of padel facilities within Kenyan schools also introduces younger players to the sport at an earlier age, helping develop the next generation of players as competitive padel continues to grow nationally.
More Than Just Padel Court Supply
These two projects demonstrate an important part of the Playon Padel approach.
Building a high-quality padel facility involves much more than purchasing a court structure and
installing it on site.
The performance and longevity of a padel court depend on getting the civil works, foundations, drainage, structural requirements, playing surface, lighting and surrounding infrastructure right from the beginning.
For clients who require it, Playon Padel can provide a comprehensive turnkey solution covering the major elements required to take a project from an undeveloped site to a completed padel facility.
Across these two international school projects, our scope included:
● Civil and foundation works
● Court-area preparation
● Structural roof canopy construction
● Panoramic padel court supply
● Professional padel court installation
● Padel turf installation
● Electrical installations
● Padel court lighting
● Landscaping turf
● Customised court colours and finishes
● Custom net-post padding
By coordinating these elements under one project, Playon Padel can help clients avoid having to separately manage multiple contractors for the civil works, structural works, electrical works and padel court installation.
Building Padel Courts in Nairobi and Across Kenya
With five panoramic padel courts completed across two international schools in Nairobi
during 2026, these projects mark another important milestone for Playon Padel and reflect the continued development of padel in Kenya.
We expect schools to become an increasingly important part of that growth as more institutions introduce their students to the sport and invest in modern sporting facilities.
Playon Padel provides padel court construction, supply and installation in Kenya for schools, hotels and resorts, sports clubs, recreation facilities, residential developments, commercial investors, luxury camps and private residences.
Projects can range from a single private padel court to complete multi-court commercial or institutional facilities, including covered padel courts.
